The pattern is written in US English terms and assumes knowledge of the basic crochet stitches (slip stitch, chain, single crochet, double crochet). The pattern includes beginner friendly instructions on how to do the overlay mosaic technique as well as the envelope border. The pattern itself is provided in both written and chart format for left and right handed crocheters.
Crochet Terms: US
Yarn: Any (the pictured example is made with Stylecraft Special Aran on a 5mm hook)
Quantity of Yarn: 1764m pink/mushroom (9 skeins) 1372m green/meadow (7 skeins)
Hook Size: appropriate for the yarn chosen
Size: 203 stitches across (plus 2 for the joining and ending stitches) and 203 rows tall.
Additional Materials: A hook 1 size down from your main hook to create the border.
